Los edificios de oficinas ecológicos representan menos días de enfermedad

Una compañera de trabajo solía quejarse de que las luces y el aire en nuestras oficinas en un edificio demasiado alto la enfermaron. Yo siempre creí que el ambiente de trabajo hacía más estragos en la gente que el edificio en si. Resulta, sin embargo que si se piensa un poco más seriamente en un edificio ecológico podrían disminuír los días de enfermedad en los empleados.

Recuerdo que cuando era pequeño, mamá y papá acostumbraban tener pollos en la casa a los que trataban como parte de la familia, excepto cuando nos los comíamos. Evidentemente, eso fue antes de que encontráramos petroleo en nuestro patio y nos mudaramos a Beverly Hills.

Crisis ambiental: ¿Cuál es tu Plan B?

Como ya han anunciado incluso algunos políticos y ejecutivos de compañías petroleras ya tenemos cierto grado de crisis ambiental en nuestras manos, y siendo optimista, no nos haría daño tener un as bajo la manga en caso de que las cosas se pongan peor. No estoy sugiriendo que dejemos de reducir los contaminantes, reutilizar y reciclar –eso nunca. Pero de cualquier manera, considerando la naturaleza extrema de nuestro problema, el sentido común dicta que en caso de que la polución y el cambio climático cambien o estén fuera de control, todos deberíamos tener un Plan B para un lugar donde vivir las próximas décadas.

Ikea planea detener la oferta de bolsas de compras de plástico para sus compradores en todas sus tiendas en Estados Unidos al iniciar Octubre. El año pasado el vendedor de las históricas cajas y bolsas de compras azules comenzó a ofrecer bolsas reciclables a 59 centavos la pieza, y comenzó a cobrar 5 centavos por cada bolsa sencilla de plástico usada en un esfuerzo por reducir el número de bolsas de plástico en circulación.

Como blogger de brillante futuro que gana suficiente dinero en este juego, al grado de que muy pronto mi madre podría dejar de enviarme mi mesada, yo se una o dos cosas acerca de las celebridades --de hecho, según mis cálculos si escribo 7000 artículos más seré tan famoso como el perro que no pasará nunca en una toma de pantalla completa o un LOLcat menos conocido. Esa es la razón de porque estoy autenticamente calificado para evaluar el tipo de trabajo que estan haciendo nuestras celebridades para salvar el planeta y como lo pueden hacer mejor.
